Animas Canyon (by Betsy662)
Throughout the last few years, especially when I discovered that fishlipsatwork had made a DEM map of the Durango and Silverton RR, I had wanted to do a route depicting that most famous of narrow gauge railroads. Here it is at last. The baseboards were originally done by fishlipsatwork, which I trimmed back from Durango to Crator Lake, and from Silverton to Cascade. This route includes part of Crator Lake, Rockwood, the Highline,Tacoma, Tank Creek and Cascade.
There are basic portals at both ends of the line so trains can disappear and reappear at your will. Below is a list of kuid's that are not on the Download Station. I have included the URL's for these dependencies. On Prowler's site, you really only need to download the Trestle Pack, which would be listed under the UTC objects.
Locomotives that can be used on this route are available from Prowler901. Some of the rolling stock, depending on what era your intending to run at any given time, can be found there also. Prowler has some really nice freight cars available also. The passenger cars for the D&S are available on the download station and are made by BNSF50. There are some passenger cars that were also made by togog, in earlier livery, which reflect a different period of time. Ben Neal, Subpar Productions, also has some very nice narrow gauge C-18 locomotives, some of which saw service over this route, most notably: the recently restored No.315.
Credit also goes to Hiballer, for making improvements to Crator Lake (by actually adding water to it). One of the things we both discovered was that when CMP does a search, its not always automatic that CMP will find all the dependencies. Much of the content in this route were made for TRS2006 SP1. It has been discovered when you download and install this route, you may very well have to do a manual search with checkmarks in all the versions for a few of the dependencies, so be forwarned.
Here is a list of the 'hard to find' items and their sources:
